Experience

Joanne has worked in regional school improvement since April 2023 and is a secondary mathematics and numeracy specialist.

After completing her degree in medical genetics, she began her career in education in 2008. Joanne has 15 years experience of  teaching mathematics in a large 11-18 secondary school. During that time she was also the Numeracy and Key Stage 3 Coordinator. She has worked alongside the  NFER as a group leader, Swansea University with PGCE students and WJEC as an examiner. Joanne has an  MA(Ed) which focussed on developing reflective discourse within the learning of mathematics and  has recently completed a post graduate diploma in leadership and management. Joanne  is an experienced Life Coach.
