Experience

Emma has worked in regional school improvement since 2017 when she was seconded as a GCSE project lead for English. Since then she has  undertaken a role as leader of learning for English and has represented regional consortia as lead for PISA.

She began her career in education in 2001 as an English/RS/media studies teacher at an 11-16 comprehensive in Swansea. She has held leadership positions of Literacy Co-ordinator and head of English. Emma worked at local authority level as an  advisory teacher for literacy working with primary and secondary schools across Swansea . Emma also has experience as an examiner for GCSE English and as a moderator for GCSE media studies.
